The whole weekend of the festival is packed with events for friends and families of all ages. From the all-ages grape stomp to the wine and beer tastings to the craft show and parade, there’s certain to be something for everyone.

Grape Lake Kayak Race

1st Annual
September 7, 2019 - 3:00pm - 5:00pm

The race will take place at the launch at Sunset Park (M/40 at Power Plant Rd.).  All participants will be timed and winners will be determined by the best time.  All participants must wear a life jacket.  A Waiver will be completed and signed must be received prior to the race.

30th Annual Grape Lake 5k Walk/Run

2018 - RESULTS:

Mark your calendars for this fast, flat USATF-certified 5k course around Maple Lake. Our race has been endorsed by the Governor's Council on Physical Fitness, Health and Sports and is also part of the 90th Annual Challenge Fitness - Michigan Fruit Belt Series.  The proceeds from this event will benefit the Families Against Narcotics.

Families Against Narcotics (FAN) is a community based program for those seeking recovery, those in recovery, family members affected by addiction and community supporters. FAN seeks to change the face of addiction, dispel the stigma of addiction, and educate the community as well as those affected by addiction. (www.Familiesagainstnarcotics.org)

38th Annual Vineyard Classic Bike Tour

3 Routes: 22 miles, 39 miles and 60 miles

We are currently looking for an organization to run this event.  If you are interested plase contact the festival office at 269-655-1111.  Choose from three different routes that pass lush vineyards and orchards, right at the peak of harvest season. On this tour, you'll see the woods, rivers, lakes, and neighboring villages of the area.

Drop by the Festival Tent, open all weekend with wine and beer tasting and entertainment of all kinds! On Saturday, from noon to 5 pm enjoy Fine Wine & Beer Tastings from local wineries and breweries. 

NEW THIS YEAR!!!  Save your Family Fare register slips and bring $100 worth to the Festivla Tent, we will admitt you for free.  These slips will be given to Eleanor's Pantry.  They will turn these in to Family Fare to purchase food for the Pantry and help those who are less fortunate in the Paw Paw area.

St. Julian Festival Parade

Coca Cola Grape Stomp

For thousands of years, people have used grape stomping as a means of making wine. Join in on this fun tradition and try to out-stomp the competition. We won't be making wine with the juice you press, but we will be weighing it to find a winner. Events run throughout the weekend.  New this year, you can jump in the vat and stomp grapes on your own in our open stomping.

42nd Annual Arts & Craft Show

Situated in the heart of the festival and sponsored by the Paw Paw Service League, the arts and crafts show will feature all handmade items including jewelry, artwork, woodwork, crocheted and knitted pieces, toys, and more. 25th Annual Grape Escape Classic Car, Truck & Motorcycle Show

The Classic Car Show will award trophies to the top 25 vehicles as decided by the participants and the attendees, at 2:30pm and you must be present to win. Check out the classic cars, or show off your own. Sponsored by Seelye of Paw Paw.

St. Julian Winery Events

Tours, Tastings, Sales, Entertainment

Enjoy winery tours and tastings all weekend long. Take a free tour of the winery on Friday and Saturday from 10 am to 4 pm, with wine tastings both days 10 am to 5 pm, $1.00 per tasting and wine sales from 10 am to 8 pm.  Sunday hours are 11am to 5pm for tasting and sales. Fine Wine & Beer Tasting

Festival Tent featuring Local Wineries & Brewery

Paw Paw and the surrounding area has been referred to as the Napa Valley of the Midwest. We are happy to offer several opportunities for you to visit our local wineries and taste the unique fruit of the vine that can only be found in this area. During this event, you can taste from a variety of beers, wines and ciders from regional Cider Mills, Wineries and Breweries.  Participant will be available this spring

Warner Vineyard Events

Marketplace

Throughout Downtown

Retail vendors will be set up throughout downtown Paw Paw all weekend long. Vendors at the marketplace are those that would like to participate but do not fit into the Arts & Crafts category. If you're an interested vendor, click here for an application. Hours for the marketplace are Friday 5pm to dusk, Saturday 9am to dusk, and Sunday 10am to 5pm.

Fireworks over Maple Lake

Great views from all over downtown. Bring your blankets, lawn chairs, and snacks. The fireworks will start at dusk and are sponsored by Paw Paw Downtown Development Authority.

Kiwanis Turtle Derby

Take your pick and guess which turtle will win the race!  Downtown in front of Village Hall.  Jockeys pay $10 per person.  Help support the projects the Paw Paw Kiwanis Club. 

Stompyland

Kid's Area

Sponsored by Family Fare, this is a perfect place for kids' of all ages.  Stompyland is a FREE event that has something for children of all ages.  It is open from 10 m to 5 pm on Saturday, Sept. 7, 2019  and Sunday following the parade. Stonpyland is located right next door to Amore's Pizza.  On Saturday, the Tot Big Wheel race will take place on Michigan Ave. with prizes for the kids, from 10 am to Noon.  Enjoy magician Christian Hill on Sunday following the parade.  Both days a bouncie house will be running free of charge for the kids and the dunk tank which is a fundraiser for a local organization will be ready for you to throw your best pitch.

Masonic Sloppy Joe Lunch

Hole-in-One Contest

Test your driving skills and aim with our hole-in-one contest. To qualify, you must be able to get your ball to land on our “green,” a raft in the lake. Then, on Sunday, 50 participants will have one chance to get that hole-in-one at 135 yards away.  This event benefits the Paw Paw Wings of God.

Lions Club Duck Race

The Paw Paw Lions Club will host a Duck Race again this year, to support the Blue Star Mothers and the Journey Beads Program at the Bronson Hospital Oncology Unit.  The proceeds will support our troops and children with cancer.  See a Lions Club member to purchase a Duck.
