The Grape Lake 5k run/walk is
part of LakeView's commitment to maintaining and improving the health of the people and
communities we serve in Van Buren County and Southwest Michigan.All proceeds benefit
projects of LakeView Foundation, including emergency medical services, access to care and
nursing education.
Introducing the 2009 Michigan "Fruit Belt Series"
Bronson LakeView Hospital has joined in for the
3rd Annual Challenge of Fitness Run Series.
The Michigan Fruit Belt Series is your chance to
participate in helping “grow” the fruit industries
of Michigan! As the country relies on much of
the great fruit from Michigan, yourparticipation
will help promote Michigan’s great fruit and it’s
growers to the surrounding states. The Michigan
Fruit Belt Series highlights the importance of including
fruit in your daily diet as well as exercise.
Fuel your body with “The Good Stuff”…Michigan
fruit and get physical!
A 2009 Michigan “Fruit Belt Series” Commemorative
Coin Award will be given to qualifiers who
finish and post a finish time in three (3) of the
Michigan “Fruit Belt Series” runs & walks.
The Michigan “Fruit Belt Series” is
endorsed by the Governor’s Fitness
Council.

Parking
lot south of the Hospital.
Starting line: The
starting line is 1/2 mile North of LakeView Community Hospital. Walkers may
not run. To avoid congestion, please arrive 30 minutes before start.
Long-sleeve T-shirts: Each
participant who selects the option will receive a long sleeve t-shirt (no guarantee of
shirt with late registration).
Recogition and Prizes: Awards will be given to the top 3 finishers in each age division, male and
female. All participants are eligible for prize drawings after the race.
Parking: Free
parking is available at the Human Resources Building north of the Hospital, near the
starting line. There also is parking in lots on the west side of Hazen Street across from
the Hospital.
ChampionChip: Registration
includes use of the Champion Chip race-timing device, which must be attached to the
participants shoe. The device must be returned at the end of the race or participant
will be charged $30. Participants may use their own ChampionChip.
